Strategic Framework Engagement Process

We need your ideas.

In 2026, the University of Kansas began the process to create a new strategic framework to guide all campuses through a shared set of priorities. Led by the Chancellor’s Office, this effort will result in the first comprehensive, all-university One KU strategic framework. Previously, strategic planning was done separately for the KU Lawrence and Edwards campuses and the KU Medical Center.

The strategic framework engagement process collects feedback from individuals, groups and units throughout the KU community through a months-long roadshow covering all campuses, academic units, research offices, functional support units and governance groups. In each session, we share the draft framework and gather your feedback through open discussion and an online form. If you would like to request a presentation to a group at KU, please contact the Strategy Office at strategy@ku.edu.

Below you will find links to the draft framework, the engagement presentation, and a video of KU's Chief Strategy and Data Officer presenting at the Provost’s Town Hall on April 23. You can also provide feedback anonymously through the online survey.

All of your feedback will be reviewed in the late summer and fall of 2026 to inform a final draft of the strategic framework, which will be shared broadly in the fall.
